Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Mohbad, has denied the assertions made by his daughter-in-law, Wunmi, regarding his alleged intervention in the case of the nurse connected to his son's death.

Wunmi, during an interview with Chude Jideonwo on February 19, 2025, claimed that Aloba prevented the arrest of the nurse who administered the injection that ultimately led to Mohbad's demise.

In response to Wunmi's allegations during a TikTok live session on Tuesday, Aloba stated, “I have never set my eyes on the nurse. We haven’t met physically. If I had seen her, it would have been on the internet.

“I never had any conversation with the nurse at all. I have never mentioned the nurse since I started narrating what happened to Mohbad that night. I didn’t see any nurse present there, and nobody introduced the nurse to me.”

Aloba's remarks followed a decision by a Lagos State Magistrate court, which exonerated Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and PrimeBoy from any involvement in Mohbad's death, while the nurse is set to face trial.
