Nigerian singer Portable, born Badmus Abeeb Okikiola, has been released on bail following his arrest over allegations of criminal intimidation and defamation against fellow Fuji artist Saheed Osupa.

The "Zazoo Zeh" crooner, known for his eccentric persona, was granted freedom on Tuesday afternoon after Osupa withdrew his petition. Officials at the Oke-Kura Correctional Centre confirmed that Portable was released around 3:30 pm after a modification of his bail conditions.

A Changed Look Behind Bars

Eyewitnesses noted that the singer, famous for his flamboyant multi-colored hairstyles, had shaved his head clean before his release. Two of his wives were present to receive him as he walked out of custody.

Sources revealed that Portable had his first proper meal on Tuesday morning after being detained since Monday. His arrest stemmed from a heated online feud with Osupa, where he was accused of making threats and defamatory statements.

How the Drama Unfolded

Portable was initially arrested on Saturday in Abeokuta, Ogun State, before being transferred to Ilorin, Kwara State, where the case was filed. The dispute between the two musicians had escalated on social media, leading to legal action.

However, with Osupa withdrawing his complaint, the case took an unexpected turn, allowing Portable to regain his freedom. The singer has yet to make a public statement since his release.

What’s Next for Portable?

This incident adds to Portable’s long list of controversies, from public brawls to legal troubles. While he may have dodged a prolonged court battle this time, fans and critics alike are watching to see if this experience will prompt a change in his often-volatile public persona.

For now, the "Zazoo Zeh" singer is back on the streets—bald, bailed, and possibly plotting his next move. Will this be a turning point, or just another chapter in Portable’s never-ending drama? Only time will tell.
