Nigerian-American rapper Wale has heaped praise on Afrobeats superstar Davido, suggesting that the Nigerian singer has the potential to carve out a successful career in comedy. According to Wale, Davido’s natural humor and quick wit could make him a "world-class stand-up comedian."

The former Maybach Records artist shared his thoughts after watching a viral clip from Davido’s recent appearance on the popular American podcast The Breakfast Club. During the interview, Davido had the hosts—DJ Envy, Charlamagne tha God, and the rest of the crew—in stitches with his hilarious and unfiltered responses.

Impressed by Davido’s effortless comedic timing, Wale reposted the video on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: "Davido could be a world-class stand-up comedian... natural."

Fans quickly agreed with Wale’s assessment, pointing out that Davido’s charisma and playful personality have always been a standout feature of his interviews. Over the years, the "Unavailable" hitmaker has become known for his humorous social media presence and candid remarks, often leaving audiences entertained.

This isn’t the first time Davido’s humor has caught attention. His previous appearances on shows and podcasts, as well as his lively Twitter (X) banter, have repeatedly shown his ability to turn even simple conversations into laugh-out-loud moments.

While Davido continues to dominate the global music scene with his chart-topping Afrobeats hits, Wale’s comment has sparked playful speculation among fans: Could comedy be the next frontier for the Nigerian superstar?

For now, Davido remains focused on music, but if he ever decides to switch gears, it seems he already has the approval of one of hip-hop’s finest.
