Amidst a backdrop of reported low performance in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) nationwide, Ebule Oritsemeyiwa Precious, a final-year student at the Federal Government College, Warri, has emerged as a high-achiever, scoring an impressive 334 out of a possible 400. 

This remarkable feat places him within the top one percent of candidates who sat for the examination, according to recent disclosures by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

JAMB had earlier revealed a concerning trend, indicating that a significant 75 percent of candidates who participated in the 2025 UTME scored below the 200 mark, with less than one percent achieving scores above 300. In stark contrast to this national trend, Ebule's outstanding performance underscores individual brilliance and dedication.

A detailed breakdown of Ebule's UTME results shows exceptional aptitude across key subjects. He secured a near-perfect score of 98 in both Mathematics and Physics, along with a strong 85 in Chemistry and a 53 in English. This consistent performance was also evident in the mock UTME conducted on April 10th, where Ebule scored a commendable 326, with individual subject scores of 96 in Mathematics, 94 in Physics, 71 in Chemistry, and 65 in English.

Beyond his academic achievements, Ebule also contributes his mathematical insights to the “MathsGE With MeyiBule” column in Fresh Angle International, an online publication. He is the son of Ebule Anthony Metsese, the Co-Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the same platform.

Looking towards his tertiary education, Ebule has set his sights on pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), located in Effurun, within the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
