The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published the official breakdown of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, offering a sobering look at the performance of nearly two million candidates. The exam, which commenced on April 24, also included a special category of 40,247 underage candidates who participated to demonstrate exceptional academic ability. However, only 467 of these candidates (1.16%) met the defined benchmark, with JAMB noting that further assessments are still underway for this group.
