In a heartfelt and impactful initiative, renowned TV presenter and CEO of Reb360, Tope Mark Odigie—popularly known as TMO—is spearheading an ambitious project to help 40 Nigerian families achieve their dream of having children through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Drawing from a deeply personal place, Odigie is combining her influence, resources, and network to offer hope to families who have been unable to conceive naturally, especially those who have waited for at least five years without success.

TMO’s drive for this altruistic mission is rooted in her own childhood experience. Born an only child, she watched her parents battle the pain of infertility before finally having her. Unfortunately, they could not afford IVF treatment at the time, a factor that ultimately prevented them from expanding their family. This personal history has stayed with her and become the bedrock of her passion to support others facing similar challenges.

“As an only child, I know how tough it is to grow up alone. But what was worse was watching my parents’ dreams of having more children fade away because they couldn’t afford IVF,” she shared. “Thank God they had me. But many families don’t even have that consolation.”

To mark her 40th birthday, TMO is dedicating herself to making a difference in the lives of 40 childless families by raising funds to sponsor their IVF treatments. According to her, the average cost of an IVF procedure in Nigeria ranges from N5 million to N6 million—an amount well out of reach for many families, particularly if there are additional medical complications requiring surgery.

Recognizing the financial burden IVF poses, she is calling on individuals, organizations, and IVF clinics to join her in this mission of compassion. Her company, Reb360, is also playing a part, having supported similar efforts in the past. This initiative is not a new undertaking for Odigie. For over five years, she has actively partnered with Quiverfull, a reputable Lagos-based foundation dedicated to supporting couples dealing with infertility, to fund and facilitate successful IVF procedures.

Now, with an even more ambitious goal, TMO is seeking at least 39 other sponsors who are willing to fund the IVF process for at least one family each. Families who are selected will be chosen from a growing pool of over 1,000 applicants who have submitted their heartfelt stories in hopes of being considered.

“This is my greatest birthday wish—to see 40 families blessed with children of their own,” she affirmed. “I’m trusting in the kindness of people who understand the pain of waiting and the joy that a child brings.”
