Hannah Oyebanjo, one of Africa’s most respected marketing leaders, is set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Awards (WIMCA), in recognition of her decades-long contributions to the growth and professionalization of Nigeria’s integrated marketing communications sector.

As Managing Director of Redwood Consulting and CEO, Nigeria, of the Republicom Group, Oyebanjo has built a career spanning more than 30 years across marketing, advertising, sales, and brand management. She is also the Lead Faculty at Redwood Academy and Principal Partner at Hannah & Associates Ltd, the organization behind pioneering initiatives such as Executive Diamonds Ladies Weekend Out and Silver Liners, programs designed to prepare women for executive leadership roles and mentor young professionals for higher corporate responsibilities.

The Lifetime Achievement Award, one of WIMCA’s most prestigious honours, recognizes individuals who have achieved exceptional professional success while empowering others and advancing women in leadership. Oyebanjo’s recognition underscores her enduring impact on Nigeria’s marketing and communications ecosystem.

Throughout her career, Oyebanjo has held key positions including Marketing Director at Colgate Palmolive Nigeria and GlaxoSmithKline, where she played pivotal roles in launching leading brands, reversing market share declines, and driving growth for both multinational and local companies. Her expertise in building strong consumer connections, fostering innovation, and leading high-performing teams has earned her widespread respect across the industry.

Beyond corporate achievements, Oyebanjo has been instrumental in shaping industry standards and policy. She served for seven years on the Advertising Standards Panel (ASP), a sub-committee of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) responsible for approving advertising materials, contributing to stronger regulatory and ethical frameworks in Nigerian marketing communications.

A consummate professional, Oyebanjo is a registered member of numerous professional bodies, including APCON, the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), ADVAN, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM UK), the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA), and the Entrepreneur Organization (EO). She has held leadership roles in several of these organizations, further cementing her status as a thought leader and mentor.

Her dedication to mentorship extends beyond organizational roles. Oyebanjo has trained and facilitated sessions at institutions such as Lagos Business School (LBS), Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and Alphabet Media Academy. She has also guided professionals through initiatives under WIMBIZ, FATE Foundation, and other public and private sector programs.

A member of the John Maxwell Team, Oyebanjo is also a conference speaker, author, and leadership trainer. She has written three books—Predictable Future, Careerpreneur, and Predictable Career (God in the Marketplace)—providing insights on purpose-driven career development and leadership.

Her professional excellence has been widely recognized. In 2022, APCON inducted her as a Fellow of the advertising profession in Nigeria, acknowledging her contributions to advertising and integrated marketing communications. She is also an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria, and a recipient of the Marketing World Honor and Clients (Advertisers) Association of Nigeria Awards (2011).

Beyond her corporate and professional achievements, Oyebanjo channels her passion for human development through the Predictable Future Foundation, a non-profit organization she founded to promote the education and empowerment of the girl child, reflecting her belief that sustainable development begins with educating and empowering women.

She currently serves on several boards across ICT, education, marketing communications, and insurance sectors, where she continues to lend her expertise to strategic growth and transformation initiatives.

Joshua Ajayi, convener of WIMCA, emphasized the significance of Oyebanjo’s recognition. “In celebrating Mrs. Hannah Oyebanjo, the Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Awards not only honours a pioneer but also reaffirms its mission to spotlight women who embody leadership, integrity, and vision—women who have inspired generations and continue to pave the way for others in Africa’s marketing and communications industry,” he said.
