Despite demonstrating musical talent as a skilled saxophonist, Nino has expressed a desire to pursue a career in medicine. The revelation came during a special event in Abuja, celebrating 2Face’s 25 years in the music industry, where he brought his son on stage to the crowd’s delight.
“Making some noise for my son Nino, mehn,” 2Face said as he introduced him to the audience. “He said he doesn’t want to be a singer. He wants to be a doctor,” he added, prompting cheers and applause from the crowd.
Born on January 15, 2006, to 2Face and his former partner Sumbo Adeoye, Nino is also a model and social media influencer. While many children of Nigerian music stars often pursue artistic careers, 2Face’s eldest son has chosen a different path.
The situation contrasts with other young talents in the industry, such as Wizkid’s son, Boluwatife Balogun, who recently began his musical journey at age 14 under the stage name Champz, releasing his debut EP, Champions’ Arrival.
2Face’s proud moment on stage highlighted both his son’s accomplishments and his own 25-year milestone in music, while also showing that children can chart their own paths, even in families with strong artistic legacies.
