Ronaldo has not publicly confirmed the appearance, and his role—whether a brief cameo or a more substantial part—remains a mystery. Fans are equally eager for news about the film’s release, as Universal Pictures has yet to announce a premiere date.
The upcoming movie, reportedly the 11th and final chapter of the high-octane franchise, promises to bring back a familiar ensemble. Alongside Diesel, Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw), Jason Momoa (Dante Reyes), Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto), and Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz) are set to return. Diesel previously confirmed at FuelFest that the late Paul Walker’s iconic character, Brian O’Connor, would also appear in the finale.
Director Louis Leterrier, who helmed “Fast X,” returns for the franchise’s concluding installment. The screenplay is being crafted by Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel, building on the series’ trademark blend of explosive action and family drama.
Ronaldo’s potential cameo arrives amid reports of a more constrained budget for the film. The Wall Street Journal noted that Universal Pictures tightened spending following the $340 million production of “Fast X,” which ultimately grossed over $700 million worldwide—making it one of the franchise’s least profitable chapters. By contrast, 2021’s “F9” earned over $725 million on a significantly lower $200 million budget.
For fans of both high-speed thrills and soccer, the possibility of seeing Ronaldo join the “Fast & Furious” universe adds an extra layer of excitement as the franchise speeds toward its final curtain.
