Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, has publicly apologized following allegations raised by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala. The cleric was seen kneeling before his congregation in a video shared on Facebook by Ogala on Sunday, expressing remorse for what he described as past mistakes.

The controversy began after Ogala accused Pastor Okafor of abandoning her for another woman despite promising marriage. While disputing several of the claims, Okafor took the opportunity to tender a general apology to anyone who felt hurt by his actions.

“I am not joining issues,” he said, addressing Ogala directly. “Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender my apology to everybody. But everything that was said is not true. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said.”

Despite questioning parts of the allegations, the pastor emphasized his willingness to make amends. He offered to provide restitution to any woman he may have offended, including Ogala.

“To Doris Ogala, I will apologize, and I also apologize to everyone. I am ready to make a restitution to anyone and anybody, any lady, anywhere I’ve offended,” he stated.

During his public address, Okafor acknowledged his imperfections and appealed to both his congregation and the public for forgiveness and prayers. He described experiencing a “new beginning” through guidance from senior Christian leaders he referred to as “fathers of faith.”

“I’m kneeling down before everyone and before the church. Forgive me. You can judge me. Pray for me,” he added, demonstrating a posture of humility before his followers.

The apology comes amid heightened scrutiny of public figures in Nigeria, with social media amplifying personal disputes and calls for accountability. Pastor Okafor’s response reflects an effort to address the matter publicly while asserting his perspective on the allegations.
