Mubarak brings more than 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector, with expertise spanning development finance, treasury management, public sector, commercial and retail banking, corporate and private banking, and investment banking.
She has also participated in several local and international training programmes, enhancing her global outlook and knowledge of best practices in financial services, leadership, and corporate governance.
Prior to this appointment, Mubarak held multiple senior leadership positions at BOI, contributing to impactful initiatives across key sectors of the Nigerian economy.
In 2017, she was appointed by the Federal Government to serve on the Board of the Solid Minerals Development Fund (SMDF), reflecting her experience in governance and public sector oversight.
As Managing Director of BOI-ITC, Mubarak will lead the company’s strategic direction and oversee its core business functions, including trusteeship, custodial services, financial planning, and advisory services. Her leadership will emphasize strong governance, operational excellence, and sustainable value creation.
