Speaking on the theme, “Clean Energy for People and Planet,” the First Lady stressed that the transition to clean energy is not optional but essential for survival, health, and environmental preservation.
“Clean energy is not just an option; it is an essential foundation for survival, healthy living, and environmental stewardship,” she said. “We must work together to build a greener, healthier planet for all.”
Her appeal comes amid growing concerns over climate change and environmental degradation, which continue to impact communities across Nigeria. Mrs. Tinubu urged individuals, communities, and organisations to embrace sustainable energy solutions such as solar power, wind energy, and other renewable technologies.
She also highlighted the importance of education and awareness in promoting clean energy adoption, urging Nigerians to take personal responsibility in reducing carbon emissions and supporting policies that prioritise sustainable development.
