Nollywood actor and content creator Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, popularly known as Nkubi, has spoken candidly about the stigma and rejection he has faced because of his physique.

In a recent podcast interview, Nkubi revealed that his challenges in securing employment due to his size led him to pursue acting. He explained that the reality of his condition became clear after secondary school, when he struggled to find even minor jobs like his peers.

He said, “As a child, you barely understood your reality, but you knew you were different from every regular person. When the reality of being a little person first hit me was when I finished secondary school, and I couldn’t secure minor jobs like others.”

Nkubi also shared that his daughter has recently become the target of online trolls who make derogatory comments about her size. Although he and his wife had anticipated such backlash, they admitted the attacks still hurt.

In an emotional revelation, Nkubi’s wife disclosed that a doctor had once advised her to conceive with another man to avoid having a child with dwarfism. She refused the advice, choosing instead to stand by her family.

Nkubi’s account highlights the ongoing prejudice faced by people with dwarfism, even as he continues to build a career and life for his family amid persistent societal bias.
