Gospel music artist Bukola Folayan, professionally known as Bouqui, is gearing up to release a new album, coinciding with her birthday celebration on February 18, 2026.
Taking to her Instagram page, @bouquiunstoppable, Bouqui expressed gratitude for another year and hinted at the themes of her upcoming project. “Happy Birthday to me!!! NEW ALBUM loading. This year is all about Restoration, a year of declaration. It’s time to tell the devil to back off everything he took… We are taking it all back!!! Happy Birthday to me. Grateful to God for another year,” she wrote.

A Career Spanning Music, Media, and Ministry
Bouqui has carved a multi-faceted career as a rapper, singer, songwriter, on-air personality, fashion designer, and author. Now based in the United States as a US citizen, she first rose to prominence in the mid-2000s with her debut album B.O.U.Q.U. The self-titled project earned her the Best Female Act award at the 2007 Award for Music Excellence in Nigeria (AMEN), along with nominations for Revelation of the Year and Best Rap Album at The Headies 2007.
Her stage name, Bouqui, is an acronym for “Born Once More Unto A Quickened And Unparalleled Image,” reflecting her personal and spiritual journey. She gained widespread recognition through hit singles such as Molejo, Vanity, and Get It Started.
Bouqui relocated to the United States in February 2014, expanding her career while continuing to release music. She has now prepared to unveil her fifth album, further consolidating her reputation as a dynamic voice in gospel rap. In August 2023, Bouqui released a remix of Chris Falson’s 1992 worship anthem All Honour, made popular by the late gospel music legend Ron Kenoly. The single, titled For Fire, featured Falson himself, bridging classic gospel with contemporary interpretations and demonstrating her commitment to blending tradition with innovation.
