The fourth season of the critically acclaimed series will premiere on March 30, airing exclusively on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Channel 151, GOtv Channel 8). The new instalment will continue to unfold the complex story of the Adeleke empire, drawing audiences back into a world where loyalty is fragile and power often comes at a brutal cost.
At the centre of the story is Wura Amoo Adeleke, the formidable and calculating matriarch portrayed by Scarlet Gomez. As the new season begins, Wura finds herself confronting the consequences of the explosive events that closed out Season 3. Surrounded by rivals and haunted by the weight of her past actions, she must fight to maintain control of the empire she built—while the very family she seeks to protect begins to fracture around her.
Behind the camera, the series continues under the direction of Rogers Ofime, who promises a season driven by the fallout of Wura’s many decisions. According to the director, the upcoming chapter will delve deeply into the repercussions of power and ambition.
“Season 4 is about consequences,” Ofime explained. “Everything Wura has done, every choice she’s made, is coming home to roost. This season, we’re not holding back.”
The new season raises the dramatic tension as the Adeleke dynasty begins to show cracks that can no longer be hidden. Long-buried secrets threaten to surface, alliances begin to shift, and betrayals from unexpected corners push the family closer to collapse.
For MultiChoice, the return of Wura reflects the company’s broader commitment to producing bold African storytelling. Atinuke Babatunde, Executive Head of Content & Channels at the company, described the series as a powerful example of the kind of content the platform aims to champion.
“Wura represents the calibre of bold, compelling storytelling that Africa Magic was built to showcase,” Babatunde said. “Bringing this powerhouse series to our platform is a statement about our commitment to premium African content. We’re proud to bring the telenovela to millions of viewers across the continent.”
Season 4 will once again feature an ensemble cast that includes Ray Adeka, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Ego Iheanacho and Modesinuola Ogundiwin, among others, each playing a role in the ever-evolving drama surrounding the powerful Adeleke family.
New episodes will air every weeknight at 8 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase, available to viewers with DStv Compact and GOtv Supa Plus packages. With tensions rising and the Adeleke empire facing its most dangerous chapter yet, Season 4 promises to deliver the gripping twists and emotional intensity that have made Wura one of Africa Magic’s standout productions.
