Veteran Nollywood actor Don Richard has dismissed viral reports claiming he died after a prolonged illness, describing the information as false and misleading.
The rumours, which circulated widely on Thursday, alleged that the actor had succumbed to complications related to kidney disease. However, in a response shared via his Instagram page on Friday, Don Richard reassured fans that he is in good health.
“There’s nothing wrong with me. I appreciate my fans for the love and concern. I’m alive, hale and hearty,” he said, while criticising those behind the reports for spreading unverified information.
The actor’s reaction has since calmed concerns among followers and industry colleagues who had expressed worry following the initial reports.
Don Richard had previously opened up about his health challenges. In July 2025, he appealed for financial assistance after reportedly selling personal assets, including his house and cars, to manage treatment for kidney disease.
