Nollywood actress Sunshine Rosman has voiced deep concern over the escalating hardship, insecurity, and poverty in Nigeria, calling on both citizens and leaders to take urgent, decisive action.
In an emotional appeal, Rosman highlighted the growing economic struggles, the increasing poverty rate, and the ongoing loss of lives due to violent attacks, particularly in parts of Northern Nigeria. She warned that many Nigerians seem to have become numb to the scale of the crisis.
“When are we going to wake up as Nigerians? When is it finally going to be enough?” she asked tearfully, emphasizing the urgent need for awareness and action.
Rosman described the economic situation as overwhelming, but said the persistent killings and displacement of innocent people have intensified the nation’s woes.
“We can’t even begin to talk about the economy right now—the poverty rate, the lack of infrastructure in this country. But as if that’s not bad enough, innocent people are being slaughtered,” she said.
The actress also expressed alarm at the plight of communities forced to flee their homes due to insecurity, noting that many citizens feel abandoned and unprotected.
“Lives are being lost for nothing, and people have to migrate from their towns, homes, and villages because they know that nothing will be done,” Rosman lamented.
She urged Nigerians to break the silence and confront the growing challenges affecting the country, stressing that the nation’s hardship and insecurity can no longer be ignored.
Her comments come amid reports of tragic deaths, violent attacks, and widespread property destruction in several regions across Nigeria, underscoring the urgency of addressing both security and socio-economic issues.
