Nigerian businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has reportedly been transferred from a standard detention section to a segregated unit within Kuje Prison following concerns over his health condition.

The development comes roughly two weeks after the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered his remand for 26 days at the correctional facility. The businessman is currently facing multiple charges, including alleged impersonation of social media personality VeryDarkMan and forgery-related offences, according to court filings referenced in earlier reports.

Updates shared on social media by VeryDarkMan suggested that Blord has been unwell since April 6, 2026. In a post on his Instagram story, he claimed the detained businessman’s condition prompted prison authorities to move him from what is locally referred to as “Egypt 2,” a section within Kuje Prison allegedly associated with high-risk inmates, to a more controlled segregation unit for medical attention and safety considerations.

He also circulated a WhatsApp message purportedly describing “Egypt 2” as a part of the facility where inmates accused of armed robbery and other serious crimes are held, adding that the relocation was necessary due to his reported illness.

In the same online commentary, VeryDarkMan criticised efforts linked to activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore, alleging that attempts to secure Blord’s release had been unsuccessful. He further stated that he was open to “tempered mercy,” suggesting a possible softening of stance regarding the ongoing dispute.

He was also quoted as saying that “Sowore and his avengers don’t have power to bring Blord out and discontinue the case like he claimed,” adding that his side remained willing to consider leniency.

The situation has continued to generate public debate online, particularly after Sowore publicly criticised the speed and manner of Blord’s remand, alleging possible oppression and questioning the involvement of VeryDarkMan and his legal team in the case.
