Coca-Cola Named Official Soft Drinks Partner for Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games in Major Sponsorship Deal
The Coca-Cola Company, in partnership with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) GB, has secured the role of Official Soft Drinks Partner for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, marking a significant brand sponsorship and activation agreement ahead of the international multi-sport event in Scotland.
Under the partnership, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar will serve as the Official Soft Drink of the Games, while Powerade is designated as the Official Sports Drink and Smartwater as the Official Water. These products will be supplied across all official venues, reinforcing the brand’s positioning around hydration, performance, and fan experience during the competition.
CCEP, the world’s largest independent Coca-Cola bottler, will handle distribution across the four main event sites, strengthening its role as a key supplier and sponsor of major sporting events in the United Kingdom. The agreement further extends Coca-Cola’s presence by linking it with Team Scotland, enabling integration into team campaigns, media content, and fan engagement initiatives ahead of the Games.
As part of the arrangement, Coca-Cola branding will feature prominently across event venues, digital activations, and social media platforms, underscoring a broad sports marketing strategy that combines on-ground visibility with online engagement and storytelling.
Sustainability forms a central component of the partnership. CCEP has also partnered with environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful to support riverbank clean-up initiatives around Clyde-side venues, aligning the collaboration with Glasgow 2026’s “greener Games” objectives and broader environmental commitments.
The deal positions Coca-Cola as a high-visibility commercial partner at one of the world’s major sporting festivals, reinforcing its longstanding strategy of leveraging global sporting events to strengthen brand presence across the United Kingdom and Commonwealth markets.
