DJ Cuppy Says She Now Prefers Low-Profile, Working-Class Partners, Cites Shift in Dating Preferences.
Disc jockey and music personality Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has shared new insights into her dating preferences, revealing that she currently gravitates towards men with conventional 9-to-5 jobs who maintain a low public profile and are largely inactive on social media.
Speaking during an appearance on The Zeze Millz Show, the entertainer reflected on her past relationships and explained that her approach to dating has evolved over time. According to her, she has been exposed to partners from different social and professional backgrounds, but now finds herself more comfortable with individuals outside the entertainment spotlight.
She described her current preference as leaning toward “super chill” personalities—men who are not heavily online, do not seek public attention, and are focused on traditional work routines. She also disclosed that she meets potential partners through dating applications, noting that digital platforms have become part of her modern dating experience.
DJ Cuppy further revealed that she is active on exclusive dating services, including Raya and The League, describing them as curated platforms for meeting professionals. She noted that membership on The League comes at a premium cost, stating it requires a fee of around £400 to join.
Beyond her current preferences, the 33-year-old daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola also emphasized the importance of openness in dating. She explained that her experiences have included meeting individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, underscoring her belief that relationships should not be limited by social status or occupation.
According to her, she has gone on dates with individuals such as a bus driver, a man living with his parents, a model, and a professional footballer, adding that each experience contributed to her understanding of people and relationships. She described dating as a process of conversation and mutual discovery rather than rigid expectations.
Her remarks highlight a more reflective stance on relationships, suggesting a shift toward simplicity, privacy, and compatibility over public visibility and lifestyle status.
