The breakthrough came on Tuesday, April 21, when streamer Kishka uncovered a hidden folder placed atop a large ice sculpture tied to the Iceman promotional installation in the city. The discovery marked the latest interactive marketing stunt surrounding the rollout of Drake’s ninth solo studio album.
According to accounts from the event, Kishka managed to access a concealed “golden ticket” within the thawing sculpture. He was then instructed to travel to Drake’s Toronto residence, where the material inside the magazine was fully revealed, including confirmation of the album’s release date.
“Iceman May 15,” Kishka said during the reveal, visibly excited. “2024, 2026 will be my year. Holy s—t, bro!” As part of the experience, he was reportedly rewarded with a bag of cash from Drake’s team.
The magazine included multiple symbolic items tied to the project’s branding. The opening page confirmed the release date, while a promotional T-shirt featured the phrase “2024 is my year,” with “24” crossed out and replaced by “26,” suggesting a thematic pivot toward 2026 as a defining era for the artist.
The imagery appears to reference the aftermath of Drake’s widely publicised rap battle with Kendrick Lamar in 2024, a period that heavily influenced public perception of his career trajectory. The messaging suggests a narrative of renewal and repositioning heading into the new album cycle.
Drake has been teasing Iceman for nearly a year through a series of music drops and promotional moments. In 2025, he released tracks including “Dog House,” “Which One” featuring Central Cee, and “What Did I Miss,” the latter peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming one of his most commercially successful recent singles.
He has also continued to reference the project in public appearances and cultural moments, including a tribute video for Nelly Furtado at the Juno Awards and a symbolic stunt involving frozen courtside seats at a Toronto Raptors game on April 12.
Iceman will serve as Drake’s first solo studio album since 2023’s For All the Dogs, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, extending his long-running streak of chart-topping releases.
With the release date now seemingly confirmed through the Toronto activation, anticipation is building for what is expected to be one of the most closely watched album drops of 2026.
