Oborevwori, Obi Cubana Spotlight Asaba Mega Development as Signature Home Debuts at Millennium City Project

A high-profile celebration blending business, real estate development and social milestone on Sunday drew attention to ongoing urban transformation efforts in Delta State, as a landmark residential prototype was officially unveiled at the Cubana Millennium City project site in Asaba.

The occasion coincided with the 51st birthday celebration of entrepreneur Obi Cubana, and featured the unveiling of the Signature Home—an upscale model unit designed to showcase the vision behind the broader estate development.

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was among the dignitaries present at the event, which attracted investors, industry leaders and stakeholders in the real estate and hospitality sectors. The gathering was held at the project site within Asaba, underscoring growing private-sector confidence in the state’s property and infrastructure landscape.

Speaking at the event, Oborevwori praised the investment initiative led by Cubana Group, describing the development as a strategic project with the capacity to redefine Asaba’s urban identity and stimulate wider economic activity.

He noted that developments of such scale go beyond housing provision, positioning them instead as catalysts for job creation, infrastructure expansion and the emergence of new economic clusters across surrounding communities.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting private-sector driven projects aligned with its broader agenda of economic diversification, infrastructure renewal and employment generation across Delta State.

At the center of the unveiling was the Signature Home, a showcase unit within the wider Cubana Millennium City. The structure is intended to reflect the architectural standards, lifestyle concept and investment vision guiding the proposed “city within a city” development.

In his remarks, Obi Cubana expressed appreciation to the state government and attendees, describing the project as a long-term vision aimed at delivering a world-class residential and commercial hub capable of competing with leading urban centers across Africa.

He emphasized that the estate’s strategic location near transport corridors and the Asaba airport corridor enhances its attractiveness to investors, residents and businesses seeking high-value opportunities in a fast-growing urban environment.

The development is planned as an integrated mixed-use enclave, combining residential estates, commercial zones and lifestyle amenities designed to support live-work-play functionality within a single master-planned environment.

The event concluded with a guided tour of the newly unveiled Signature Home, where guests inspected the design concept, finishing standards and proposed lifestyle features that will define the broader estate upon completion.
