Uzochukwu, a Harvard executive-trained business leader and Chairman/CEO of Stanel Group and The Delborough Lagos, brings extensive experience in entrepreneurship, leadership, and institutional growth. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the university’s Business School, a role he assumed in October 2021.
His appointment is seen as part of the university’s broader effort to deepen its advancement initiatives, build strategic partnerships, and enhance its competitiveness within Nigeria’s higher education sector and beyond.
Beyond UNIZIK, Uzochukwu has held several corporate and academic board roles, including serving as one of the youngest board members of Igbinedion University Okada, underscoring his growing influence across both the business and education landscapes.
Speaking on the new role, Uzochukwu emphasised the importance of purposeful leadership in driving institutional success, noting that sustainable growth depends on strategic thinking, strong partnerships, and a commitment to excellence.
At the inauguration ceremony held at the UNIZIK Business School Hall, the Vice Chancellor, Ugochukwu Anyaehie, expressed confidence in the newly inaugurated board, highlighting Uzochukwu’s leadership capacity and track record as key assets for the university’s future.
