The airline disclosed the development in a statement issued on Saturday through its official X handle, explaining that the issue was discovered after passengers had already boarded the aircraft.
According to the airline, the aircraft was immediately withdrawn from operation in compliance with standard safety procedures, while passengers were safely disembarked to allow engineers address the fault.
“Following the completion of passenger boarding, a routine post-boarding technical check identified a minor aircraft fault that required immediate attention,” the airline stated.
Air Peace emphasised that passenger safety remains its highest priority, noting that operational schedules would never take precedence over safety considerations.
“At Air Peace, the safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew will always take precedence over operational schedules,” the statement read.
The airline acknowledged the inconvenience caused to passengers but maintained that taking preventive action was the most responsible decision under the circumstances.
“While we understand the inconvenience this situation may have caused, taking swift preventive action was the responsible and necessary decision,” it added.
To reduce the impact of the disruption, Air Peace said affected passengers were promptly informed about the situation and provided with hotel accommodation as well as other support services.
The airline further revealed that a replacement aircraft would be deployed from London to operate the delayed flight.
“To minimise further disruption, a replacement aircraft from London will be dispatched and passengers are scheduled to depart this morning,” the airline said.
Air Peace also expressed appreciation to passengers for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during the delay.
“We deeply appreciate the patience, understanding, and cooperation shown by our passengers during this period. Their trust remains incredibly important to us,” the statement added.
The development comes as airlines continue to emphasise stricter safety protocols and technical compliance amid growing demand for international flight operations.
