South African entrepreneur and women’s empowerment leader opens up about ADHD, mental health, and reclaiming identity through healing, honesty and self-discovery.

South African author, entrepreneur and women’s empowerment leader Kalene Oliver is launching her debut author campaign with the release of her memoir, She’s a Hot Mess, set for official release on 26 May 2026.

The book marks a deeply personal turning point in Kalene’s journey as she opens up about living with undiagnosed ADHD, mental health challenges, emotional overwhelm, and the process of rebuilding identity after years of misunderstanding herself.

Known as the founder of The Limitless Women Hub, Kalene has built a platform dedicated to empowering female entrepreneurs. With She’s a Hot Mess, she shifts the conversation into mental health, self-awareness, and the hidden emotional struggles many women face in silence.

Following her ADHD diagnosis at age 36, Kalene began reframing years of internal struggle that were often mistaken for inconsistency or lack of discipline but were actually signs of a neurodivergent mind operating without understanding or support.

Blending honesty, humour and raw reflection, She’s a Hot Mess speaks directly to women who have felt “too much,” “too emotional,” or “not enough,” while silently navigating burnout, masking, and executive dysfunction.

“I spent years believing I was broken because I didn’t understand how my mind worked,” says Kalene Oliver. “This book is about turning pain into purpose and learning to stand beside yourself instead of against yourself.”

More than a memoir, the book is a call for greater compassion, awareness, and honest conversations around ADHD, mental health, and neurodiversity, particularly for women whose experiences are often misunderstood or overlooked.

Kalene Oliver is a South African author, speaker, and mental health advocate. She is the founder of The Limitless Women Hub, a platform supporting women in business, leadership, and personal development. Her work focuses on mental health awareness, identity, and helping women embrace authenticity without shame.
