The Abuja-based developer described the move as a strategic step in its broader national expansion, positioning Lagos as a central pillar in its growth ambitions.
“When we founded 7-Fifteen, our goal was simple: to build refined, intentional spaces that people would be proud to call home.” said Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Tope Adekoya, during the launch event over the weekend.
A Lagos Debut Framed Around Art, Architecture, and Identity
Rather than a conventional corporate unveiling, the event was staged as a curated cultural experience. It opened with an exhibition by Yenwa Gallery titled Load-Bearing, featuring sculptural works commissioned specifically by the company.
According to the firm, the exhibition was designed to reflect its architectural philosophy and ongoing developments, including its flagship Lagos project, Zuri Residences on George Street, Ikoyi, which is already under construction.
“The showcase offered guests an immersive introduction to the brand’s design philosophy and vision for premium living, using art as the lens through which 7-Fifteen Capital introduced its work and ambitions for Lagos,” the statement noted.
The approach underscored a growing trend among luxury developers: treating real estate not just as construction, but as storytelling—where design, culture, and lifestyle are tightly interwoven.
From Abuja Foundations to Lagos Ambitions
Adekoya reflected on the company’s early developments in Abuja, pointing to projects such as Myari Lakeside, The Residence, and The Cove Lakeside as examples of its design-led approach.
“In Abuja, that vision grew into developments like Myari Lakeside, The Residence, and The Cove Lakeside, projects defined by craftsmanship and a deep respect for the relationship between architecture and everyday living.”
He added that Lagos represents a natural progression for the brand, given its scale, energy, and constantly evolving property landscape.
“Now, as we enter Lagos, a city driven by energy, ambition, and constant evolution, we do so with the same philosophy and a long-term commitment to contributing meaningful value to its future landscape,” he said.
Government Backing and a Competitive Property Market
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who delivered a keynote address at the event, highlighted the state’s growing appeal as a global real estate destination. He noted that Lagos continues to attract investment due to its scale, infrastructure development, and demand for quality housing.
He also emphasized the role of developers in shaping not just functional housing, but aspirational urban environments, formally welcoming the company to the state.
Beyond commercial ambition, the company also used the occasion to spotlight its social impact agenda through the introduction of the 7-Fifteen Foundation, its newly launched philanthropic arm focused on education, employment, and youth empowerment.
“We are not just building in Lagos; we are building for Lagos.” said Co-Founder and Deputy CEO Adesuwa Belo-Osagie.
“Good living is not only about the spaces we occupy but also about the lives we can build within them.”
The foundation will target underserved communities, particularly young people facing barriers to education and opportunity.
Industry Heavyweights in Attendance
The launch drew a high-profile audience of investors, policymakers, and industry leaders, reflecting the firm’s growing visibility within Nigeria’s luxury property sector. Among those present were prominent figures such as Aliko Dangote, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Atedo Peterside, and government officials including Jumoke Oduwole and Education Minister Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa.
Their presence signaled both investor interest and policy-level attention to Lagos’ evolving real estate landscape.
A Market Defined by Premium Positioning
Founded in 2020, 7-Fifteen Capital Limited focuses on luxury residential and mixed-use developments in prime locations, with an emphasis on architectural quality, execution, and long-term value.
Its entry into Lagos—particularly through Ikoyi, one of the city’s most exclusive districts—places it in direct competition within a rapidly expanding high-end property segment where design, branding, and lifestyle positioning are increasingly as important as location.
As the evening concluded with networking among developers, financiers, and policymakers, the broader message from the launch was one of confidence in Lagos’ continued evolution as a luxury real estate hub, and in the company’s intention to be part of that trajectory.
