The transactions, carried out between June 22 and June 26, 2026, form part of Ericsson's previously announced share repurchase programme of up to SEK 15 billion, which was unveiled on April 16, 2026. The programme commenced on April 23, 2026, and is scheduled to continue until March 31, 2027, at the latest.
According to the company's disclosure, Ericsson repurchased a total of 6,116,402 Class B shares during the reporting period at a weighted average price of SEK 110.4736 per share, bringing the total transaction value to SEK 675,701,000.06.
The largest single-day purchase occurred on June 22, when Ericsson bought back 2.15 million shares for approximately SEK 238.1 million at an average price of SEK 110.7508 per share. The company followed this with the acquisition of 1,866,402 shares on June 23 valued at SEK 208.6 million.
Buying activity slowed during the remainder of the week. Ericsson repurchased 800,000 shares on June 24 for SEK 88.4 million, followed by 650,000 shares on both June 25 and June 26, with transaction values of SEK 71.2 million and SEK 69.4 million, respectively.
The company said the repurchase programme is being conducted in compliance with the European Union Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and the Safe Harbour Regulation, which govern share buyback programmes across EU markets.
"The Board of Directors intends to propose to the 2027 Annual General Meeting that the repurchased shares, other than those used to fulfil Ericsson's obligations under its share-related incentive programs, are cancelled," the company said.
Ericsson also confirmed that all acquisitions were executed on Nasdaq Stockholm by Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE on behalf of Ericsson.
Following the latest round of buybacks, the company's treasury stock now stands at 63,998,958 Class B shares.
Ericsson currently has 3,371,351,735 shares outstanding, comprising 261,755,983 Class A shares and 3,109,595,752 Class B shares.
