The attack reportedly took place on Pankhurst Avenue in the Silvertown area of East London, where emergency services were called shortly before 9 a.m. Paramedics attempted to save the 35-year-old musician at the scene, but he was later pronounced dead despite their efforts.
Police in the United Kingdom have since launched a full murder investigation. Officers from the Specialist Crime Command are leading inquiries as detectives work to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing. “Talay will fondly be remembered by those who knew him publicly for his incredible talent as a Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum-selling songwriter and artist.
“For those that knew and loved him personally, it is his humour, generous spirit and unmistakable presence that will be missed the most,” the statement added.
