The announcement was made by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board in a statement released on Sunday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
According to the examination body, the notification slip contains crucial details that candidates need before the examination day, including their examination centre, date, time, and other important instructions.
“The notification slip contains vital information, including the candidate’s examination centre, date, time, and other important instructions necessary for a seamless examination exercise,” the statement read.
Who Is Eligible for the Mop-Up Examination?
JAMB explained that the mop-up examination was specifically arranged for candidates who were unable to sit for the earlier UTME due to technical issues, as well as those whose biometric verification could not be successfully completed during the main examination.
The board urged all eligible candidates to access and print their slips through its official portal.
“Eligible candidates are advised to visit the Board’s website and click on ‘Print 2026 Mop-Up UTME Slip’ to access and print their slips,” the statement noted.
Candidates Advised to Prepare Early
To avoid last-minute challenges, JAMB advised candidates to print their examination slips well ahead of the scheduled date and familiarize themselves with their examination centres before the examination day.
“Candidates are strongly advised to print their slips well ahead of the examination date and familiarise themselves with their examination centres to avoid last-minute difficulties,” the board added.
Final Opportunity for Affected Candidates
JAMB emphasized that the mop-up examination represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to participate in the 2026 UTME.
The board made it clear that no additional examination will be conducted after the mop-up exercise, urging affected candidates to take full advantage of the opportunity and make adequate preparations.
With the examination date now just days away, candidates are expected to complete all necessary arrangements, including printing their slips and confirming their examination venues, to ensure a smooth and successful examination process.
