One of Africa's foremost gospel music ministries, MrM & Revelation, will be honoured with the prestigious Music Icon of the Year award at the 2026 Anambra Man of the Year Awards scheduled to hold in July, in recognition of the group's outstanding contributions to gospel music and societal development.

The award acknowledges the ministry's remarkable influence in the gospel music industry, its unwavering commitment to promoting peace, love, and unity, as well as its role in taking African gospel music to audiences across the continent and beyond.

Announcing the recognition, the organisers said, "The Music Icon of the Year award recognises MrM & Revelation's remarkable impact on gospel music, their commitment to promoting peace, love and unity, and their role in projecting African gospel music to audiences across the continent and beyond."

The organisers further noted that the honour celebrates a music ministry that has evolved from a modest gospel collective led by Mr Miracle, popularly known as MrM, into one of Africa's most respected gospel ensembles. Through inspiring worship songs and impactful ministry, the group has continued to strengthen faith, foster unity, and contribute to positive social transformation.

Established with a vision of drawing people closer to Christ while influencing culture through worship, MrM & Revelation has grown into a household name within the African gospel music landscape. Over the years, the ministry has built a loyal following through spiritually uplifting songs, energetic worship sessions, and a consistent message of hope.

The group's rise to prominence began with the release of its debut album, Focus, which featured the widely acclaimed song Jesus Bu Onyem Ne Fe. The project introduced the ministry to a broader audience and laid the foundation for what has become an inspiring musical journey.

Under the leadership of Mr Miracle, a graduate of Industrial Physics from Ebonyi State University, the ministry has produced more than 100 gospel songs that continue to resonate with listeners across different countries. Some of its most celebrated tracks include Nisi'm, Akoro, Operempe, Odogwu Wonder, Until I See, At Your Feet, Not Ojoro, and Ekele, among many others.

Beyond its extensive music catalogue, MrM & Revelation has ministered on some of Africa's biggest gospel platforms, including The Experience, one of the continent's largest gospel concerts. The group has also collaborated with leading gospel artistes such as Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, Peterson Okopi, Jimmy D Psalmist, and Judikay, further cementing its place in the industry.

The ministry is equally known for hosting the annual 24 Hours No Limit Worship, regarded as one of the largest worship gatherings in South-East Nigeria. The event attracts thousands of worshippers and features more than 30 gospel ministers in an atmosphere dedicated to praise, worship, and spiritual revival.

The forthcoming Music Icon of the Year award is expected to further underscore MrM & Revelation's enduring legacy as one of the leading voices shaping contemporary African gospel music while inspiring millions through worship and faith-based outreach.
