Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has broken his silence following widespread concern sparked by a viral video showing him on a roadside in Abuja.

The clip, which circulated across social media, captured the actor lying by the roadside in the Wuse 2 area of the Federal Capital Territory while talking to himself and holding a disposable cup. The footage quickly drew reactions from fans and well-wishers, many of whom expressed worry about his health and overall wellbeing.

Responding to the growing speculation in a recent video, Anuku dismissed the concerns, insisting that he is doing well and urging the public to redirect their attention to more pressing national issues instead of focusing on him.

The veteran actor made it clear that he was not interested in the public narrative surrounding the viral footage, stressing that he is fine despite the assumptions made after the video emerged online.

“Y’all haven’t seen anything yet. Y’all should face your government and leave me the hell alone. If you don’t have a better thing to do go do something, I’m good,” he stated.

His response has generated mixed reactions online, with some supporters expressing relief after hearing directly from the actor, while others continue to voice concern over his condition despite his reassurance.

The incident has once again highlighted how viral social media videos can quickly fuel speculation about the personal lives and wellbeing of public figures, often prompting widespread public debate before the individuals involved have an opportunity to respond.
