Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has reflected on the emotional journey that led to the birth of his triplet sons, revealing that the experience was filled with years of hope, unexpected surprises, and immense gratitude.
Speaking during an interview with former Your View host Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the actor shared intimate details about his wife, actress Mo Bimpe's, pregnancy, explaining that he devoted himself to caring for her because of the long wait they endured before becoming parents.
According to Adedimeji, the pregnancy carried extra significance for the couple, making it only natural for him to shower his wife with love and support throughout the period.
“When you’ve been up and expecting, and then it now finally happened, you will pamper her, but she’s a strong woman,” he said.
The award-winning actor also disclosed that learning they were expecting not one, but three babies, came as a complete surprise. While the news initially left him stunned, he said it ultimately became a powerful reminder that their years of waiting were worth every moment.
“It was shocking for me; at the same time, it was a mixed feeling. When you’ve been expecting something, and then it came beyond your expectations, that means the waiting is not a bad one,” he said.
Adedimeji further dismissed any suggestion that he was absent during the delivery, stressing that he stood by his wife throughout the childbirth experience.
He described witnessing the process firsthand as eye-opening and used the opportunity to commend women for the sacrifices they make during childbirth.
“I cannot stay back; we did it together. We are in it together; I was right there, and I saw it happen. It wasn’t an easy task. I give it up to women. Well done,” he said.
Speaking on whether the couple plans to have more children, the actor said the decision ultimately belongs to God. However, he hinted that his wife would love to have a daughter, suggesting they may consider expanding their family again in the future.
“Everything is in God’s hands because they are boys. I know my wife will love to have a female so we can do one more round, maybe,” he added.
Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe announced the arrival of their triplet boys in May 2026, bringing an end to years of anticipation. At the time, the actor shared an emotional video showing the couple holding their ultrasound scan while expressing gratitude to God for blessing them beyond their expectations.
