The dominance of digital creators over global entertainment continues to deepen, with Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, once again securing the top spot on the 2026 Forbes Top Creators list. The ranking underscores how online personalities have evolved into full-scale media entrepreneurs, operating businesses that now compete directly with Hollywood studios.
According to the latest Forbes report released on July 1, the world’s 50 highest-earning creators collectively generated an estimated $1.02 billion over the past year. That figure represents a 20 per cent increase from $853 million in 2025 and an impressive 80 per cent rise since the list was first introduced in 2022.
“The creator economy is no longer trying to break into show business—it is show business,” Forbes stated in its analysis, reflecting the industry’s shift from social media fame to global entertainment dominance.
MrBeast Leads with Massive Earnings and Expanding Business Empire
MrBeast topped the 2026 ranking with estimated earnings of $300 million, driven by his expansive digital ecosystem and global audience of approximately 873 million followers across platforms.
His growing business portfolio spans multiple ventures, including YouTube production, consumer brand Beast Industries, snack brand Feastables, food-related venture Lunchly, analytics platform Viewstats, and the Amazon Prime Video competition series Beast Games. Together, these ventures have transformed him from a content creator into a diversified media and consumer goods entrepreneur.
Rising Stars and Diversified Income Streams
Behind MrBeast, motivational filmmaker Dhar Mann ranked second with estimated earnings of $65 million, continuing his success in scripted inspirational content distributed across major social platforms.
British entrepreneur and podcast host Steven Bartlett followed in third place with $52 million, reflecting the growing influence of podcasting and personal brand-led media companies.
Gaming creator Markiplier secured fourth place with $38 million, while comedy duo Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal—known collectively as Rhett & Link—rounded out the top five with $37 million.
The top ten list also included entrepreneur Codie Sanchez, engineering-focused YouTuber Mark Rober, livestreamer IShowSpeed, comedian Druski, and social media star Charli D'Amelio.

Forbes highlighted a clear trend among top creators: a rapid expansion beyond social media into diversified industries such as streaming, publishing, advertising, technology, and consumer products. Many influencers are now building corporate-style structures around their personal brands, with revenue streams that mirror traditional entertainment conglomerates.
The report also noted that the 2026 rankings were based on estimated gross earnings between March 2025 and March 2026, alongside factors such as audience size, engagement metrics, and entrepreneurial activity.
As the boundaries between creator and corporation continue to blur, the data suggests one thing clearly—the influencer economy is no longer a niche digital trend but a dominant force reshaping global entertainment and business.
