Statistics released by FIFA on Wednesday showed that Real Madrid players combined to score an impressive 22 goals, placing the Spanish club comfortably ahead of every other side represented at the global showpiece.
The biggest contributor was France captain Kylian Mbappé, who enjoyed another remarkable World Cup campaign by scoring 10 goals. His outstanding performance earned him the Golden Boot as the tournament's leading scorer and also saw him make history as the first player to finish as the World Cup's top scorer at two consecutive editions, having also won the award at Qatar 2022.
England midfielder Jude Bellingham also enjoyed an exceptional tournament, contributing seven goals for the Three Lions, while Brazil winger Vinícius Júnior added four goals during the competition. Young Turkish midfielder Arda Güler completed Real Madrid's tally with one goal.
Collectively, the four Real Madrid stars accounted for more than seven per cent of the tournament's 308 goals, highlighting the club's significant attacking influence on the biggest stage in international football.
Paris Saint-Germain finished second in the club goalscoring rankings, with their players scoring a combined 15 goals, while Arsenal occupied third place with 13 goals.
Despite Real Madrid's dominance in front of goal, the tournament's most decisive strike came from Barcelona forward Ferran Torres. The Spanish attacker scored the only goal in the final as Spain edged Argentina 1-0 to win their second FIFA World Cup title.
The statistics further underline Real Madrid's influence across international football, with several of the club's biggest stars playing pivotal roles in their respective national teams' campaigns throughout the tournament.
