Lee, who captured the women's all-around gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, said she is ready to resume training as she prepares for another Olympic cycle.
A six-time Olympic medallist, Lee enjoyed another successful campaign in Paris, where she helped the United States win the women's team gold medal. She also claimed bronze medals in the individual all-around and uneven bars, further cementing her place among the country's most accomplished gymnasts.
Her return makes her one of several members of the American women's gymnastics team from Paris who are targeting a place at the home Olympics in Los Angeles. Olympic champion Jade Carey has already resumed competition as preparations for the 2028 Games gather momentum.
