The song rises from No. 25 to No. 1 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart dated July 4, following its first full tracking week. Released via FAX Records/Epic Records, the genre-blending single dominated the multi-metric ranking, which combines streaming and sales performance.
According to Luminate, "Is It Love" generated approximately 2 million official U.S. streams during the June 19–25 tracking period, with streaming accounting for virtually all of the song's chart performance.
The latest chart-topper marks Tyla's fourth No. 1 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, further cementing her dominance in the genre. She previously ruled the chart with her global breakthrough smash "Water," which spent an impressive 55 weeks at No. 1 between 2023 and 2024. She followed that success with "Push 2 Start," which led for 20 weeks, before "Chanel" claimed the summit for 24 weeks across 2025 and 2026.
With four chart leaders, Tyla widens the gap between herself and every other artist on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, which launched in April 2022. Nigerian Grammy winner Tems remains the only other act to have topped the chart more than once, with two No. 1 hits.
The achievement comes ahead of Tyla's highly anticipated sophomore album, A*Pop, scheduled for release on July 24. Both "Is It Love" and "Chanel" are set to feature on the project, which follows her acclaimed self-titled debut album released in 2024. That album spent five weeks atop Billboard's World Albums chart.
Beyond the Afrobeats rankings, "Is It Love" is also making waves across other Billboard charts. The single debuts at No. 18 on the Hot R&B Songs chart, becoming Tyla's 10th career entry on the multi-metric chart that measures streaming, airplay and sales.
The song's international momentum is equally strong, debuting at No. 3 on the U.K. Official Afrobeats Chart, further highlighting Tyla's growing global influence.
Meanwhile, the singer continues to enjoy success with other releases. Her collaboration with Swedish pop star Zara Larsson, "She Did It Again," extends its run on the Pop Airplay chart to eight weeks, while slipping slightly from No. 27 to No. 28.
Tyla is also gaining traction with "Game Time (FIFA World Cup 2026)," her collaboration with American rapper Future, which debuts at No. 48 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and climbs from No. 38 to No. 31 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
With another record-breaking chart achievement and a new album on the horizon, Tyla continues to strengthen her position as one of the leading global voices shaping the future of Afrobeats.
