Nigerian singer Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan, and his partner, Davita Lamai, have sparked excitement among fans after revealing plans to hold their wedding celebration.

The announcement was made in a video shared on X on Monday as the couple travelled alongside friends and colleagues to the wedding of businessman and music executive Soso Soberekon.

During the journey, singer Teni excitedly drew attention to the couple's big news, saying:

"So Zlatan and his wonderful wife are going to be having their wedding."

Davita also took the opportunity to personally invite everyone on board to the celebration.

"I just want to extend an invite to everyone. I'd love to have you all there. It will be so nice to have everyone there," she said.

Although the couple did not reveal the date or venue of the ceremony, the announcement was met with applause and warm congratulations from fellow passengers, adding to the excitement surrounding the occasion.

The latest development comes after months of speculation about the couple's relationship status. Earlier reports had claimed that Zlatan and Davita had secretly tied the knot, but the singer dismissed the reports at the time, clarifying that while Davita is the mother of his child, they were not married.

Despite his clarification, rumours continued to circulate after the couple appeared in family photographs wearing matching rings. Fans also noticed that Davita had updated her Instagram profile to include the surname Omoniyi, further fueling speculation that they had already exchanged vows privately.

With the latest announcement, many fans now believe the long-awaited wedding celebration is finally on the horizon.

The video has since attracted congratulatory messages across social media, with supporters expressing excitement and wishing the couple a joyful and successful union.
