The race for the ₦160 million grand prize on Big Brother Naija’s “Show Ya Sef” has taken a dramatic turn after Biggie disqualified finalist Victor Ikpe, popularly known as Keivo, from the reality show.
Keivo’s exit was announced on Tuesday, September 29, after Biggie summoned the remaining housemates to the lounge and showed them footage of the physical confrontation between Keivo and fellow finalist Tram.
Following the footage, Biggie announced that Keivo would no longer remain in the competition.
“Keivo, as the perpetrator, has been removed from the house. He is therefore disqualified from the house,” Big Brother announced.
Biggie also used the opportunity to issue a stern warning to the remaining housemates against violence, stating: “Violence is never an option.”
The decision ended hours of uncertainty over Keivo’s status after viewers noticed earlier on Tuesday that his name had disappeared from the show’s official voting platform.
How the fight started
The incident reportedly began on Monday night following a disagreement between Keivo and Tram over a black shirt.
Tram accused Keivo of taking his shirt, but Keivo denied the allegation, insisting that he owned a similar shirt. What began as a verbal disagreement soon escalated, with the two housemates exchanging heated words before Keivo reportedly threw the first punch.
Other housemates immediately attempted to intervene and separate the pair.
As the situation intensified, Biggie instructed all the housemates to freeze before deploying three Ninjas to the scene. Keivo was subsequently escorted out of the house through the storeroom.
Before his removal, an emotional Keivo attempted to explain his side of the incident. He maintained that the disagreement was not simply about the shirt but about being accused of taking something that did not belong to him.
He reportedly expressed concern that viewers would leave the show believing he was a thief, saying the accusation had deeply affected him.
Final week disrupted
Keivo’s disqualification came only days before the scheduled October 4 grand finale, bringing an abrupt end to his campaign for the ₦160 million prize.
He had entered the final week alongside Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram. The official Big Brother Naija website had listed the 10 housemates as finalists before Keivo’s removal.
His sudden departure has since generated intense debate among BBNaija viewers, particularly across social media.
While some viewers condemned Keivo for resorting to physical violence, others questioned whether Tram should also face disciplinary action based on the circumstances that led to the confrontation.

Keivo’s disqualification means he will now watch the October 4 finale from outside the house after making it through to the final stage of the competition.
