Nigerian music star Damilola Afolabi, better known by his stage name L.A.X, has celebrated a major milestone in his personal life after legally marrying his partner, Ella, in Malta.
The singer shared the news with his fans on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing that the couple had formalised their union in the Mediterranean country.
In a message accompanying the announcement, L.A.X expressed his affection for his wife and his appreciation for the location where the ceremony took place.
“Legally hitched to the love of my life, in the most beautiful city. Malta, you have our hearts,” he wrote.
The marriage comes several months after the couple's formal engagement on January 16, 2026, marking another significant step in their relationship.
While L.A.X has largely built his public profile around music, his latest announcement has drawn attention to a more personal chapter of his life as he begins marriage with Ella.
The singer's journey in the Nigerian music industry dates back to his secondary school years, when he started out as a rapper and performed with a group known as Flyboiz. He later pursued a solo career, eventually establishing himself as one of the notable names in Nigeria's contemporary music scene.
His major breakthrough came in 2013 following the release of “Caro,” a collaboration with Wizkid under Starboy Entertainment. The song became a prominent hit and earned a nomination for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
L.A.X and Wizkid subsequently collaborated on another song, “Ginger,” further strengthening the singer's profile within the Nigerian music industry.
Building on his success as an artist, L.A.X later established his own independent record label, Rasaki Music, through which he continued to develop his career and musical catalogue.
With his latest announcement, the singer has now added marriage to a series of notable milestones in his personal and professional journey.
