Verve, the payment card and tokens brand operated by Interswitch, has partnered with Truecaller for the ninth edition of its annual VerveLife fitness and lifestyle event, as the programme expands its focus to include technology, wellness, entertainment and community engagement.

The 2026 edition, themed “Ignite,” is taking place across several Nigerian cities, with activities already held in Ikorodu, Ibadan and Enugu. More events are scheduled for Surulere and Uyo ahead of the grand finale in Lagos.

The partnership with Truecaller is expected to introduce an additional technology component to the event, which has grown beyond its original fitness-focused format to incorporate wider lifestyle and social experiences.

Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President, Group Marketing and Communications, Interswitch Group, said the partnership reflected the evolving nature of VerveLife and its broader connection with consumers.

“VerveLife has always been about creating experiences that connect with people beyond the traditional boundaries of a fitness event,” Eromosele said.

She said the collaboration with Truecaller would further strengthen the event’s focus on the intersection of technology, lifestyle, wellness and community, as the organisers seek to create experiences that resonate with participants beyond physical fitness.

Ogochukwu Onwuzurike, Country Manager, Nigeria, Truecaller, said the partnership would provide the company with an opportunity to connect with people interested in active lifestyles and shared experiences.

“Truecaller is pleased to partner with VerveLife 9.0 and connect with a community that values active living, shared experiences and meaningful connections,” Onwuzurike said.

The VerveLife 9.0 programme will reach its climax in Lagos with a two-day finale scheduled for November 20 and 21, 2026.

The first day of the Lagos programme will feature a “Train the Trainer” session, designed to provide fitness professionals and enthusiasts with opportunities for learning and engagement. The day will also include an industry-focused mixer.

The second day will feature a range of activities, including fitness sessions, an obstacle course and masterclasses. A children’s corner will also be available, while fitness personalities and trainers are expected to participate in the programme.

The Lagos finale will conclude with an evening after-party, combining the fitness and lifestyle elements that have become part of the VerveLife experience.

Another feature of this year’s edition is the “Road to VerveLife 9 Stage” pan-African competition, which is open to fitness trainers, dance instructors, aerobics coaches, yoga and Pilates instructors, as well as other fitness enthusiasts.

The competition is aimed at giving participants an opportunity to showcase their skills and earn a place on the VerveLife stage.

With activities already taking place in different parts of the country, the ninth edition of VerveLife is building towards its Lagos finale, where the organisers are expected to bring together fitness enthusiasts, wellness advocates, entertainment personalities and members of the wider community for the concluding events.
