Premier real estate consultancy firm, Knight Frank Nigeria, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening corporate relationships and fostering strategic partnerships through the second edition of its annual Knight Frank Golf Classic, which brought together business leaders, industry partners and golf enthusiasts at Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos.

The tournament, held last week, provided an avenue for participants to interact beyond conventional business engagements, with organisers describing the gathering as an opportunity to deepen professional relationships, encourage high-level networking and appreciate longstanding partnerships.

Initially introduced as part of Knight Frank Nigeria’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, marking 60 years of operations in the country, the golf classic has since evolved into an annual corporate tradition.

Speaking on the significance of the event, the Senior Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Knight Frank Nigeria, Frank Okosun, said the initiative was designed to create an informal atmosphere where the company could connect with clients, partners and other stakeholders while celebrating relationships that had contributed to its growth.

“We are here to enjoy a great day of golf, but more importantly, to celebrate relationships. The Knight Frank Golf Classic brings together our clients, partners, and friends in an environment where we can connect beyond the usual business setting. We value these relationships, and today is an opportunity to appreciate the people who have been part of our journey,” Okosun said.

The 2026 edition attracted support from major institutional partners, including Tatum Bank, which served as co-sponsor of the tournament.

Explaining the bank’s decision to support the initiative, its Managing Director, Niyi Adeseun, said the partnership aligned with the institution’s strategy of building connections with influential business leaders and individuals driving wealth creation.

He noted that golf, beyond its recreational appeal, promotes values that are equally important in the banking industry, particularly strategic thinking, patience and integrity.

“As a commercial bank operating for about 18 months, our sponsorship is a deliberate strategy to connect with visionary wealth creators and leaders. Golf teaches strategic patience and uncompromising integrity, core values that mirror our operations at Tatum Bank,” Adeseun said.

The 18-hole competition attracted corporate executives and professionals from different sectors, providing participants with opportunities to engage in sporting activities while strengthening existing business connections.

Also speaking on her experience at the tournament, an avid golfer, Mrs Funmi Omo, described the event as a well-organised gathering that successfully combined recreation with corporate networking.

“The tournament was intentionally curated to bring together friends and corporate colleagues across the Knight Frank family. My experience on the course was exceptional, the weather was ideal, the networking was seamless, and I look forward to participating in future editions,” she said.

The annual Knight Frank Golf Classic forms part of the company's broader efforts to maintain meaningful relationships with clients and business partners, using social and sporting engagements to encourage collaboration beyond the conventional corporate environment.
