Nigerian emerging recording artist and songwriter, Shamah Ayomikun Jacobs, popularly known as RIIDM, is set to release his new extended play (EP), Feel The Riidm, on Friday, November 6, 2026, as he continues to establish his presence in the country's music industry.

The forthcoming project marks another step in the musical journey of the Ilorin-born artiste, who hails from Kogi State but grew up in Ebute Metta, Lagos. He has been developing his music career in Lagos while also pursuing interests in graphic design and video editing.

Feel The Riidm follows a number of previously released singles, including Okay, Chosen, What's Left, Hold On and IDO, which have helped introduce his sound and creative direction to listeners.

Unlike individual single releases, the new EP will bring together a collection of songs, offering audiences a wider insight into his musical interests, songwriting and artistic development.

Beyond music, RIIDM has continued to explore other creative fields, particularly graphic design and video editing. His involvement in these areas reflects the growing connection between music, visual storytelling and digital content production in today's entertainment industry.

For independent musicians, such skills often play an important role in developing an artistic identity, producing promotional materials and connecting with audiences through digital platforms.

His upbringing in Ebute Metta also forms an important part of his personal and creative background. The Lagos community has produced or been associated with several notable Nigerian entertainers, including Patoranking, Banky W and King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal.

Growing up in the city exposed RIIDM to an environment where music, entertainment and other creative activities remain prominent. Lagos, in particular, continues to serve as a major centre for Nigeria's music industry, providing opportunities for upcoming artistes to connect with producers, recording studios, filmmakers and other industry professionals.

His decision to pursue music also came against the background of his family upbringing. As the son of a pastor, choosing a career in the music industry represented a significant personal decision as he followed his creative ambitions.

With Feel The Riidm, the singer hopes to build on the foundation established by his earlier releases and further introduce his musical identity to a wider audience.

The project also arrives at a time when digital streaming platforms have created new opportunities for emerging artistes to distribute their music beyond traditional channels. Platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and Audiomack have become important outlets for independent musicians seeking to reach listeners locally and internationally.

The EP is expected to be available across major digital music platforms from Friday, November 6, 2026.
