London based journalist, Yetunde
Oduwole has found new love again, First Weekly Magazine can exclusively report.
We learnt that Yetunde who broke
up with her husband, Babs Adegbenjo, (also a journalist) about six years ago is
now in the arms of an up and coming Yoruba comic actor, Babatunde Bernard
popularly known as Baba Tee.
Our source said Yetunde Oduwole
who is a columnist with City People Magazine is so ecstatic about her new
romance with the young 2006 Mass Communication graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo
University (OOU) that she hurriedly arranged a secret marriage between her and
the actor in London few days ago.
What shocked many friends of the
latest couple is the age difference between them.
Yetunde, according to what we
heard will celebrate her 41st birthday on tuesday, February 14,
2012, while Baba Tee is 33 years old.
Our source also wondered why the duo
rushed into marriage as they reportedly met in the early week of November 2011.
“Yetunde lives in London, but
Baba Tee came to London for the first time in November 2011. He was in London
with all these Nollywood artistes for an
award ceremony. That was the first time he set his eyes on Yetunde,” our source
declared.
Shedding more light on how the
affair started, our source told us that in order to cut expenses in London, the
organizers of the trip contacted some Nigerians living in London who could
accommodate the artistes for the period of
the award.
“Baba Tee and some other artistes
were asked to squat at Yetunde’s council
apartment at Abbeywood, you won’t believe that somehow, a chemistry began to
develop between Yetunde and Baba Tee. That was how they began to have sex in Yetunde’s house,” the source explained.
After the November awards
ceremony in London, Baba Tee, and his other colleagues in the movie industry
flew back into the country.
But we learnt that Yetunde who
has two sons for her ex- husband is so
madly in love with the young actor who is still trying to find his feet in the
industry that she pursued the actor to Nigeria few days later.
“Yetunde came to Nigeria and
begged Baba Tee to marry her. Baba Tee agreed, followed her back to London
where they got married secretly,” one of Yetunde’s friends told us.
Meanwhile, a close friend to
Yetunde’s ex husband is skeptical about her marriage to Baba Tee, “Yetunde is
not officially divorced from Babs. Though they have been separated for the past
six years, I can tell you confidently that there is no legal divorce paper. So,
if Yetunde marries Baba Tee in London, then, she has committed a crime. She
should have perfected her divorce before jumping into another marriage.”
However, another friend of
Yetunde is worried about the future of the new union. The source reminded us of
Yetunde’s romance with another young actor, Aremu Afolayan (Kunle Afolayan’s
younger brother) after the crash of her marriage.
It should be recalled that a
couple of years ago, Yetunde was in Nigeria and began to
date Aremu Afolayan. When the affair became a public issue, Yetunde and Aremu
stormed media houses in Lagos granting interviews and professing their undying
love for each other. The duo even started to flaunt their engagement rings.
Many had thought the relationship was going to end up in marriage. At the end,
both of them went their separate ways and sources said the younger Aremu walked
out of the affair over age differences.
“I pray Yetunde’s crush for
younger guys will not destroy her. It’s her life and we should all continue to
pray for the new couple,” our source said.
