The year 2012 edition of the Lisabi Festival, the cultural renaissance of the ancient Egba Kingdom, in Ogun State promises turned out to be a festival like never before as Africa's giant telecommunications outfit, Globacom, spiced up the celebrations with its ever thrilling Rock 'N' Rule concert.
Globacom, which sponsored the
festival made good its promise to make it a carnival by bringing the best hands
in the nation's entertainment industry as well as local acts from the famous Egba Kingdom
to entertain the people. The Rock 'N' Rule concert, which was held at June 12
Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta featured
prominent artistes such as the sensational Wande Coal of the Mohit Group, the
apako crooner, Terry G, Sound Sultan, Goldie, Davido, Alayo Singers and the
ever resourceful Gbenga Adeyinka 1, while Africa's best DJ, Jimmy Jatt, would
manned the sound box.
The company also added glamour to
the festival as it held Miss Lisabi Beauty pageant, which saw indigenes of
Abeokuta going home with cash prizes of N150, 000 and N100, 000 for the winner

years 2012 to 2014 in the first instance.
