Weeks ago, news of the marriage of popular Yoruba 'bad boy' actor,
Soji Taiwo, otherwise known as Omo Banke's to a Canada-based Nigerian woman,
Khadijat Simba also known as Nike Simba, shocked many of his fans.
According to the reports then, Soji dumped his wife and two children
in Nigeria and went ahead to marry his new love, Khadijat, who RW learnt is
also a Canadian citizen. The news story generated many controversies among some
sections of Soji's fans.
Disturbed by the mess, Soji spoke to RW on the matter from his US base
some days ago. The celebrated actor insisted that he was never married to the
said 'dumped wife' in Nigeria. He said what only happened was that the woman
was his 'baby mama,' who bore him two children while their relationship lasted.
He also said his marriage to his Canadian wife, Khadijat, who is the
ex-wife of a top Lagos socialite, Moroof Simba, was never contested by the said
'baby mama' in Nigeria. He then wondered why it was reported that he abandoned
his wife and children in Nigeria when he still takes care of his children. Also
speaking to RW on the controversies, Khadijat said that Soji was never married
before she married him few months ago. Khadijat said she was aware that Soji
had a 'baby mama' in Nigeria, who gave birth to two children for him. She said
the controversies trailing their union few weeks after their marriage have
stalled their honeymoon. She told RW that Soji is a responsible man who truly
loves her.
Soji is one top Yoruba actor who has been in the industry for a long
time. He is also an accomplished movie producer.
