Four men of the Nigeria Police Force were today killed in Kano when gunmen opened fire at them at a police checkpoint. Reports said that the gunmen laid ambush for the police officers at the checkpoint, just immediately they (the police) arrived the place with their patrol van.
The incident occurred at Unguwa Uku along Zaria Road by Yan Tumaki at around 9am on Tuesday morning.
Just yesterday, a similar incident happened with the killing of two policemen by gunmen in a tricycle at Kawo Tishama checkpoint in Kano State. The incident also left two civilians injured.
