On Tuesday, an army corporal identified as Doe, at close
range, shot dead a Police Inspector following a heated argument with the
deceased.
The incident which happened in Mikang Local Government Area
of Plateau State, left colleagues of the duo in shock after they (colleagues)
had settled the rift between them only to hear a gun shot and found the
lifeless body of the police officer on the ground.
The deceased and the army officer were part of the security
officials on duty in the local government. After their colleagues had pacified
the duo to embrace peace after their argument, the army officer reportedly went
for his gun and pulled the trigger, leaving the policeman dead.
The army officer, reports said, would face disciplinary
actions and would be arraigned as soon as investigation into the matter is
concluded.
