A member of Lagos
State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts, Hon. Bolaji Yusuf-Ayinla (Mushin II) has debunked
the report of an online publication which said that he was engaging in a
political battle with the Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Babatunde
Adepitan over the House of Representatives ticket ahead of the 2015 general
election, saying the report was orchestrated by political jobbers.
Yusu,f who
emphasised that he was committed to serving his constituents, maintained that
rather than engaging in any unwholesome political battle with anybody, he is
determined to put smiles on the faces of indigents and the downtrodden in his
constituency as long as he enjoys their mandates.
“I will not get
distracted by the comment in anyway because I believe the story was
manufactured by political jobbers in Mushin. But I am presently committed to
the service of my people who have elected me three times to represent them at
the Lagos state House of Assembly and I believe there are lots to be done for
them at this time to make their lives enjoyable for them. So, for somebody to
start spreading rumour and propaganda that I am engaging in political battle
now ahead of 2015 when we are in 2013, honestly, I believe the person is being
mischievous for no just reason.
"I don't know
where they got the story from, they never spoke to me, neither did I grant
interview to any media organization about my political ambition. The person
being touted as my political rival is my brother whom I have a very cordial
relationship with and we have mutual respect for each other. I believe God has
divine programme for everybody and as human beings we do propose to do certain
things or attain certain height in life but we cannot run beyond our destiny as
designed by our creator," he added.
He therefore
advised the people of his constituency to disregard such report, adding that he
was not created to malign other people's image or integrity to attain any goal
in life.
