This is not the
best of time for two of Nigeria's top entertainment gurus; Fatai Rolling Dollar
and OJB Jezreel as both stars are battling with different ailments at hospitals
in Lagos. Last week Wednesday, the entertainment fraternity was hit with the
news that OJB was fighting to survive as he is down with kidney failure.
We gathered that
the music producer-cum-singer has been suffering from the kidney problem for
some months now, but decided to shield it away from the public. Reports said
that the man behind 2Face's 'African Queen' beats was first receiving
treatments a hospital in Ikotun area of Lagos State until he was referred to
the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for further treatment.
We gathered that
OJB needed a matching kidney donor but was lucky that many people turned up to
help him.
On the part of
veteran musician, Fatai Rolling Dollar, he has been unable to move his legs for
over a week that he was admitted at the hospital. The energetic musician
confirmed to First Weekly on phone last week Wednesday that he has been at the
hospital for over a week. He called for prayers from his fans for quick
recovery. Successful and veteran Juju Musician-turned Evangelist, Ebenezer Obey
reportedly learned his trade under the tutelage of Fatai Rolling Dollar over
three decades ago in the city of Lagos.
