Thursday, July 17,
2014 would not be forgotten by members of Christ Revival Victory Chapel
International (CRVCI). It was the day reality dawn on most of them, who never
believed their Senior Pastor, Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku, had died, as he was
finally laid to rest several months after his shocking death.
Most of the
members, who had benefited from Prophet Ajanaku’s grace as a man of God, had
expected that ‘Daddy’, as the deceased was fondly called, would come back to
life, but this was not to be as his remains was committed to mother earth
amidst tears.
Prayers were
rendered to God to keep the family left behind by the deceased at the event,
which was attended by some other men of God.
The biography of
the late Prophet Ajanaku was read at the funeral and many got to know more
about the man, who many people did not know too well.
A part of the
biography reads, “With a Muslim background, he (Prophet Ajanaku) never had
interest in studying the Quran, revealing the fact that he was created for a
greater life in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“When God decided
to make himself known to him, it was strange to him, but he was curious to know
why God of the whole universe would have anything to do with him considering
his background.”
It was further
stated in the write-up that “The ministry started at 17, Ogun Adewale Street,
Ipaja, Lagos, with 12 members in 1995 and later moved to Sulu Close opposite
Community Bank in Ipaja, where he is fond of referring to as packing case, a
small place built with perforated planks before the church eventually moved to
her permanent site at 17, Koya Akinwale Street, Ayobo Ipaja, where the
headquarters is located.”
Many who spoke at
the event eulogized Prophet Ajanaku, and they unanimously agreed that the
deceased positively affected their lives and would be greatly missed.
